The advantages of Taichi is that it is gentle and can be done by seniors regardless of age . It helps to build and maintain flexibility and strength and promotes balance of the whole human body.

This article which was published on May 2009 and updated on August 20,2009, tells us that 

"Tai chi is often described as "meditation in motion," but it might well be called "medication in motion." There is growing evidence that this mind-body practice, which originated in China as a martial art, has value in treating or preventing many health problems. And you can get started even if you aren't in top shape or the best of health."
