FOOD IS MEDICINE AND THAT MAKES OUR
               KITCHEN OUR PHARMACY

A wise elderly lady once shared with me a recipe that can help to bring up platelet counts in persons with low cell counts. She was a cancer survivor. I have since tried it and find that it works for me.I boil pork ribs with lotus root together with peanuts with the skin left on ( peanuts without skin don't work ) . You can add abit of dried squid or octopus to enhance the flavour and some red dates. Red dates help to boost red blood cells. There are many on the internet and here is one of them.

One must slow boil the soup and drink the soup and eat some of the peanuts with skin on. By then ,the peanuts should be soft.
